About the event
The harp has long been intertwined with winter celebrations across cultures and centuries. Today, we see angels with harps on Christmas trees, and hear its music filling churches, synagogues, and homes—offering a sense of light and hope during the darkest time of year. In this festive one-hour program, harpist Erika Lieberman presents a unique blend of solo holiday harp music and engaging storytelling. She explores the harp’s role in helping people endure the winter season throughout history and around the world, and reflects on why this instrument remains such a powerful and enchanting symbol of the winter holidays.
